Virginia Living Museum Hosts Phoebe Bridgers' Lost Weekend Planetarium Experience
Virginia Living Museum Hosts Phoebe Bridgers' Lost Weekend Planetarium Experience
Newport News, VA (August 6, 2026) - Music meets the stars this August as the Abbitt Planetarium at the Virginia Living Museum becomes one of a select group of venues worldwide chosen to host the Lost Weekend Planetarium Experience. For four nights only, fans can experience Phoebe Bridgers' highly anticipated new album in an immersive planetarium setting before its official release.
Ahead of its worldwide release on August 14th via Dead Oceans, Phoebe Bridgers’ newest album Lost Weekend will debut in full inside planetariums around the globe.
Each listening session pairs the album with one of two original visual accompaniments: a custom dome show designed by renowned night-sky photographer Babak Tafreshi, or a unique immersive laser show designed by Laser Fantasy. Both presentations offer their own atmospheric perspective that turns your first listen into a shared sonic and visual experience. Note: This is not a performance, and Phoebe Bridgers will not be in attendance. Presented in partnership with Spotify.
"The Abbitt Planetarium was built to inspire wonder, and this experience is a perfect example of how nature, science, and music can come together under one dome," said Dr. Kelly Herbst, Astronomy Manager at the Virginia Living Museum. "We're excited to be one of the few venues worldwide offering our community this unique way to experience a new album."
