Accent on Travel is proud to announce that four of its travel professionals recently graduated from The American Society of Travel Advisors’ (ASTA) Verified Travel Advisor (VTA) program, further reinforcing their commitment to trusted, knowledgeable travel planning.

On July 20th, 122 travel advisors across the industry earned their VTA credentials through an in-depth, four-hour session that included ethics case studies designed to apply the program’s principles to real-world situations. Although thousands of travel advisors in the United States sell travel without certification, Accent on Travel requires all newly hired team members to become on Verified Travel Advisors through ASTA, the only certified educational program for the travel industry, regardless of experience level.

Among the graduates are Heather McClatchey and Grace Hardy, both based in Accent on Travel’s Williamsburg office. Heather brings more than a decade of experience as a travel advisor, along with several industry certifications and firsthand knowledge of premier destinations across Asia, Europe, South America, and the South Pacific. This fall, Heather will expand her repertoire with an educational journey to South Africa, which will deepen her destination expertise.

Grace Hardy joined Accent on Travel this year and has already experienced a luxury rail journey aboard Rocky Mountaineer’s “Rockies to Red Rocks” route. Later this month, she will embark on an educational cruise to the Caribbean aboard the Celebrity Beyond. Grace looks forward to helping new clients plan everything from Caribbean cruises, North American train journeys, and customized itineraries to dream destinations.
